8hz-MP3 encoder
8hz-MP3 is more or less a compile of the dist10 reference sources with a
focus on speeding up that code and an easy to use interface. It was put
together by a duo of Danish programmers working at 8hz Productions, a
game and screensaver developer.
They were among the first to feel the wrath of Fraunhofer. They received a
cease-and-desist letter claiming patent violation, and immediately afterwards
stopped developing and distributing their encoder. This is what remains of
8hz-MP3's official page.
