AUPECg2 encoder
AUPEC stands for Auckland University Perceptual Entropy Coder (g2 is for
generation 2), a very obscure lossy audio format that was developed by
Mark Vinton as his undergraduate research project.
Quality is not good, in part because no stereo redundancy coding is used -
the channels are coded independently. Other limitations of the format are
that it is limited to CBR encoding, no multichannel support, and it is
not documented at all.
The web page at Washington University is gone, but you can still find it
at the Internet Archive.
