Métis MP3 player
Métis is a very obscure MP3 player created by AudioNetworks to showcase their DASE technology, meant
to improve sound quality of files that passed through compression.
It remains to be seen if this technology provides any actual improvements
to MP3 files' sound quality (the player itself uses the XAudio playback
engine).
The player sports a quite minimalistic and ugly interface. Nothing is
configurable other than appearance. At least it features playlists...
As far as I know, only version 1.0 was released and the player never saw
any update.
Big thanks to Zachary Jelesoff for introducing me to Métis.
